Intel Is Not Abandoning Smart TV

Contrary to what the media has been reporting, Intel is not shutting down its Digital Home Group and departing the Smart TV business. They are, however, shutting down their retail segment and no longer pursuing the Digital TV market category. Intel will continue to create the same System-on-Chips that our GameTree TV platform has been based on and is merging their Digital Home Group with their Tablet Group. These changes do not adversely impact TransGaming nor our GameTree TV roadmap since our work with Intel was based around the IPTV and Cable TV market segments.

The Digital Evolution

It's trite to say that the Internet has transformed the world forever and it's also a very obvious statement. However, the ripples of the prolific Internet continue to have a tsunami like effect on all aspects of life and have indeed transformed the very nature by which society interacts. The Internet has evolved from the "Internet" as we knew it to a core and mission critical facet of global infrastructure. Its importance is no different nor less significant then the infrastructure of roads and highways that make modern day transportation possible and this social medium has become the backbone of human interaction around the world.

SPORE: Phenomenon or Revolution?

Electronic Entertainment: A Niche Industry?

Regardless of where in the world you live, most people recognize that Los Angeles is a large urban sprawl. With a population of over 20 million, you would think that major conventions would have a negligible impact on the city itself. However, each year when E3 descends down on L.A., the citizens of L.A. stop and take notice. Mainstream newspapers, television, and billboards all focus on the plethora of major announcements that game companies are issuing at E3 and everyone from hotel staff to sales associates at remote stores eagerly ask about the "big gaming show".
